Off to the Vet we Go . . .

Danner apparently tangled with the wrong sharp toothed critter and suffered a casualty. The rip in his ear required stitches and as always, he was a beast at the vet. He saves his meanest growl for them and they have learned to muzzle him because I think he would take a chunk out of 'em. We have tried to convince them that he is "Mr. Mellow", but they look at us very skeptically and nod their heads

Danner was tormented by the "bonnet" and bandages. He was constantly trying to shake loose of them.

Poor Pooch

Our dear lab Danner has refused to eat lately and has experienced some (er, umm) digestional malfunctions recently. We took him to the vet today and he could not readily determine a diagnosis so Danner is spending the night for observation (cha-ching). Danner turned into a beast as soon as we entered the office, barking and growling as if he was going to tear the vet into itty bitty pieces. Milah sat quietly in the corner, taking it all in - while Maren was busily chirping away asking any question that came to mind. "Do dogs ever go potty in here? What'cha doin? (as he was inserting the thermometer) Why?" They led Danner to a (glass front) cage and Maren hollered to me that he was staying in a refrigerator. Hmm, reminds me why I request such appointments when the kids are otherwise occupied.

Hopefully, he's back home tomorrow and on the mend. I don't think our Blue Cross/Shield policy covers the hound.

And yes, these are old pictures. Who are these adorable kids and where did they go?

Aaaah!

I stumbled onto a memory stick that contained some older pictures today . . . I guess time flies while you're busy doing laundry and wiping snotty noses. It makes me a little frantic, wishing I could just stall the clock for a bit now, and "freeze" these incredible little people (one who is taller than me) that are getting older by the day. boo hoo . . .

The puppy he had long dreamed about . . . love at first sight

One of my all time favorite pictures of Scott - he ABSOLUTELY DID NOT want a dog and we kind-of (well we definitely) went against his wishes and got one anyway. This is the first moment he held Danner and despite the gnarly look on his face, his heart had already melted.

Fun at the lake

Some cooperation at the studio - I must've bribed them with ice cream, donuts, and a trip to the zoo!

They were grumbling about this one and Sten couldn't figure out why the girls were wearing "ugly nightgowns" as he put it . . .
