Milah Moo and Ronie Too

Part of being in 4H is participating in parades. This means "hurry up get there" and then "sit around for hours". I think Ronie was ecstatic about her attire tho-way to show some spirit girls!

New Floor Old Barn

Scott and the kids completed an update in the barn recently. They replaced rotten floor boards and made a stall area with a sliding stall front. Milah is high stylin' now - and things are look'n officially horsey around there.

Repainted Rust Bucket

Before the big show, we decided the old horse trailer needed an overhaul. Milah has been on Craigslist drooling over horse trailers - but for now, this is it!

We employed child labor to get the job done . . .

Ta Da! Needs a pinstripe and a saying - then we're good for another 20 years. I saw a fitting saying to place on the back - "Every horse, at least once it's life, deserves to be loved by a little girl"

Rhinestone Riders

We've embarked on a new adventure as Milah began 4H this Fall with a local equestrian group. We are a little leary as this requires quite a commitment and not only is it necessary to have the child suited up and ready to go, but you must get a four footed beast loaded and transported. Our set-up is a circa 2008 (cantankerous) pick up with a 1978 (does that make it "vintage"?!)horse trailer.

Milah was nervous, but Cricket performed like the seasoned 4H horse she is. After coming home, Milah was so excited that she had a difficult time going to sleep - I think we better get used to this routine.
