Down to the Nitty Gritty

Finished stairway with Alaskan Yellow Cedar. When we built our house, we grabbed a trailer load of logs that Scott has milled and used for trim and now the staircase into the basement. It looks awesome, but is going to be difficult to keep clean - no more muddy boots!

Before pics - I guess we were so used to looking at this, we didn't realize how UGLY it was. A definite improvement.

Our resident contractor - "Mr. Measure twice/cut once"

The persnickety painter. We are down to the finish work - picky painting, sanding, and filling. Mom is extremely good at finding and fixing the flaws - I just try to do what I'm told. I will post pics of the finished product when it is truly finished - we are dangerously close - HOORAY
