Crazy Spuds
We have harvested our odd bunch of spuds and there is barely a normal looking one in the bunch. I'm not sure where they get those perfectly rounded potatos in the bags at the grocery store - they must put them through a strict modification program. Maybe our vegetables are indicitive of the mutants that live in this house . . .
Great pictures! You can make delicious tasting soup or scalloped potatoes. Many years ago we planted potatoes and they looked just like yours so we gave up. We tried again this year and had success. The boys brought in the first potato today, and it is a perfect 5" long baking potato. Maybe it was the horse manure we put in the trench along with the seed potato? Thanks for keeping your blog up to date; we enjoy it very much. M~ http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/ hearts4homeschooling/
